In Remembrance

To the men and women of our armed forces, thank you.  The emotional and physical demands you are called to endure far outweigh any obstacle we must overcome here at home.  You are all worthy of more recognition and deserve to be called heroes for the rest of your lives.  I wish you all a safe and happy return home.  To all those that have passed but are not forgotten, it is with great respect and honor that I wish you eternal peace and happiness.  Thank you and Happy Memorial Day.

Best Uniforms per NBA Franchise

Alphabetical Order by City...

Atlanta Hawks 1980's Home. Dominique Wilkins, one of the greatest dunkers to ever live, brought a lot of highlights to city of Atlanta.  Currently, the Hawks have good talent in Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Jamal Crawford, yet still flirt with being one of the league's upper echelon teams.
Boston Celtics 1980's Road & LA Lakers 1980's Home. These 2 jerseys, much like the 2 rivals that wore them always seemed to bring the best out in one another.  Larry Bird and Magic Johnson revolutionized the game of basketball in the 1980s and passed the torch to the one in red below.

Chicago Bulls 1985 Road. Air Jordan.
Chicago Bulls Current Alternate. The 2nd Coming.

Tie

Cleveland Cavaliers 1987 Road.  The Cavaliers boast an array of fine uniforms, yet remain a "stat-builder" for opposing teams since the ever-so-subtle departure of Lebron James.  Notice to Reader: None of the players pictured currently play for the Cavaliers organization.
Dallas Mavericks Current Home.  I like the simplicity of these home uniforms from a city who often overdoes things.  However, Dallas will be in their navy Road uniforms to start the 2011 NBA Finals against the Heat.

Denver Nuggets 1980's Home.  One of the better uniforms in the gallery, without question.  The variety colors and the Denver skyline make this an instant classic.  The Nuggets need to bring these back and throw away their current "powder" puff jerseys.

Houston Rockets 1990's Road.  Steve Francis, one of the greatest leapers in NBA history, takes flight as a Rocket in these gaudy uniforms.  The Rockets have been an after thought since the early 90's primarily due to the end of Olajuwon's career and the inconsistency from star players that followed.
Indiana Pacers 1990's Home.  Reggie Miller never brought a championship to Indy, but he put the Pacers on the map and remains one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.  He now serves as an analyst for TNT.

LA Clippers 1978-84 Road.  Formerly the San Diego Clippers, this organization still remains as a bottom feeder in the league.  Hopefully, the play of Blake Griffin will bring a "wave" of change to the Clip Show.  Pictured above, Bill Walton, with an iconic 70's look.
Memphis Grizzlies 1995-2001 Home.  Well, I wasn't left with too many options, so I chose Shareef Abdur-Rahim and these vintage Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms.  Their new uniforms in Memphis aren't much better, I'll just leave it at that.
Miami Heat Late 1980's Early 90's Home.  Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade won a championship together in 2006, and now look to win one in 2011 with the addition of Lebron James and Chris Bosh.
Milwaukee Bucks 1995-1998 Alternate.  One of my favorite uniforms, although some may disagree.  Still, this forgotten franchise needs to spruce things up and bring these uniforms back to ignite a spark within this football-dominated community.
Minnesota Timberwolves Retro Alternate.  Big fan of these uniforms.  Unfortunately, the franchise has struggled to put a decent team on the floor since the departure of Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics.
New Jersey Nets 1960-70's Home.  The Nets actually have a lot of uniforms that I think are visually appealing.  However, they have never really had any players quite like Dr. J.  Most of the jerseys could have made the cut, but Sir Julius Erving puts these over the top.
New Orleans Hornets 1988-2002 Alternate.  Formerly known as the Charlotte Hornets, this franchise hasn't really made its "sting" in the league yet.  Larry Johnson won the 1992 Rookie of the Year Award in Charlotte and Chris Paul hopes to bring some hardware of his own to the re-located New Orleans Hornets.

New York Knicks Late 1980's Road.  Patrick Ewing received a lot of hype being the 1st overall pick by the Knicks, but unfortunately didn't bring a championship to the NYC losing in Game 7 of 1994 Finals to Hakeem Olajuwon and the Houston Rockets.  Hopefully, Carmelo and Stoudemire can bring back a championship to the Garden and this basketball city.
Oklahoma City Thunder 1995-2001 Home.  Formerly known as the Seattle Super Sonics, it was a devastating loss for the city of Seattle to see their Sonics leave town.  The franchise boasts players like Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, and now Kevin Durant.  Personally, Seattle beats out Oklahoma City in every facet of being an organization.
Orlando Magic Early-Mid 1990's Alternate.  One of the better organizations when it comes to uniform decisions.  This one in particular, is a fan favorite and is incorporated into their current alternate uniforms.  This was a tough choice with all the appealing jerseys the Magic have had throughout their stint in Orlando.  Shaq, and most recently Dwight Howard, the Magic sure know how to draft a physical force in the paint.
Philadelphia 76ers Late 1990's Early 2000's Home.  Now, maybe I just have a biased towards Allen Iverson, but to me, these are the Sixers best uniform. However, the Sixers throwback logo they have currently gone back to might be their best, but it doesn't carry over to the jersey aspect.  Tough decision, I like these.

Phoenix Suns 1990's Alternate.  One of the best NBA jerseys of all time, in my opinion.  Their whites, purples, and the pictured above blacks are all a fascinating look.  Charles Barkley sported these before getting traded to the Rockets.  These jerseys are far better than their current ones which you can see below.

Portland Trailblazers Current Alternate.  I like these a lot.  The "Rip City" is a hip look and I appreciate what Portland is doing here.  Portland actually has a good history of putting out solid uniforms throughout their history, but to me, these are the best.

Sacramento Kings Current Home.  not really a fan of any of the Kings' uniforms, but these aren't that bad.  Actually, I kind of like the design on these and the attempt to modernize their overall franchise.  As of now, they're staying in Sacramento, so they will be wearing these next season at Arco Arena.
San Antonio Spurs Current Home.  Well, this classy organization keeps things simple.  A pretty dull look, along with a boring style of play, yet they manage to win games.  Winning 4 championships in a span of 8 years, they might be the most disregarded championship dynasty of all time.
Toronto Raptors 1990's Home.  Yup, absolutely.  These jerseys are a classic staple in the world of athletic uniforms.  The Raptors have done a nice job with their jersey output, hopefully they will get some productive player output soon.  Vince Carter, however, provided a little spark in Toronto with his dunking prowess and entertaining style of play.
Utah Jazz 1990's Home.  This was a tough pick.  The Jazz organization has an array of great uniforms.  However, I feel these epitomized the city of Utah best.  Not to mention, their 2 most iconic players in Karl Malone and John Stockton wore these in various epic battles between Jordan and the Bulls.
Washington Wizards Late 1980's-1990's.  The Wizards happen to like their old roots so much that they have decided to incorporate the Bullets look into next year's uniforms.  I can't blame them, these jerseys are a simple classic, far better than their gold, navy, and white ones.
